The classroom space and computer lab have been utilized by a variety of providers. The Lifelong Learning Choices of Lawrence County have provided classes or training that included workshops, transitions, GED and WIN. Seniors for Safe Driving has utilized the space for classes. LaRoche College and Penn State Shenango offer evening classes. Butler Community College has provided training in the computer lab. `Noga Ambulance Services used the facility for testing. Clarion Venango became a partner when they offered a phlebotomy class in Ellwood City.
We continue to work with local industry and educational providers such as the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center and New Castle School of Trades as well as community colleges and universities to determine the skills, knowledge and awareness gaps in the community and to close those gaps. The LCLC also collaborates with the Lawrence County Economic Development Corp., the Workforce Investment Board through West Central Job Partnership and Career Link to help close the gaps in training and education.
